What Personal Data We Collect and Why

What we consider necessary information to save and why

When you, as an individual or as a representative of a company, authority, or organization, contact us requesting information, a quote, or to order a product and/or service, we need to save information that uniquely identifies you in order to fulfill your request. This may include (but is not limited to) name, telephone number, email address, delivery and billing address, workplace, or the company, authority, or organization you represent in the current matter.

A request from you initiates work on our part, referred to as a case.

Once the case is completed, all information about the case, including your personal data, is stored in our systems for necessary follow-up. Such follow-up could be (but is not limited to) recall of instruments for calibration and annual review, service, warranty issues, and technical information. We may also use previously saved case information as the basis for sending out information, advertising, promotions directed from us directly to you.

Cases, and therefore your personal data, are stored digitally by us, and comply with applicable data protection regulations, our internal guidelines, and procedures against unauthorized access. Cases are not used by third parties and are not disclosed to third parties by us, even if a third party may be the carrier medium in communication, e.g., Google email. We have no time limit on how long cases are stored as we may need to follow the development of a case as long as the operation is conducted.

Contact Forms

The data you fill in the forms on this website is sent to us for further processing. We use it to contact you or process a potential order.

Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt to save your name, email address, and website in cookies. This is for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set up a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.

Embedded Content from Other Websites

Articles on this site may contain embedded content (for example, videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

Who We Share Your Data With

We use Google for managing emails that come in from contact forms.

How Long We Retain Your Data

If you use the contact forms, the data will be stored indefinitely. This is to simplify orders and to be able to follow up on previous contact with us.

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.

For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile.

Which rights you have over your data

If you have an account or have posted any comments on this website, you can request an export file containing the personal data we have about you, including all data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we have about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where we send your data

It is important to us at Palmenco that you feel secure with how we handle your personal data. Therefore, we are transparent about how we collect, process, and share the information that we store about you with us. We never forward your personal data to other companies. However, it should be mentioned that for digital communication with us, we use Google for email, web forms, and other digitally mediated communication.

We ensure that your personal data is always protected with us, and that the processing complies with applicable data protection regulations, internal guidelines, and procedures. We have also appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO) who oversees the compliance with these regulations.

What counts as personal data

Personal data is any information that can be used to identify an individual. Examples of this may include basic information about you such as your name and contact details, but also your purchase history. We do not store information about you that is irrelevant to our operations.
