Great news the last couple of weeks:
1. The Moving Radar Video Systems Palmenco supply to the Swedish Police got it’s Type approval to the Swedish regulations for Moving radar speed meters in vehicles!
From the Polis’ press release:
− Radar is a powerful and long-awaited tool for the police to measure the speed of vehicles. Now we will be able to make our roads even safer for all the people who travel there. We know that speed compliance is one of the decisive factors in achieving Vision Zero. The second is, of course, that everyone is sober behind the wheel, says Ursula Edström at the Swedish Police Authority.
To further guarantee that the requirements for legally compliant speed enforcement are met and that the measurements do not result in anyone being fined incorrectly, an independent inspection institute verifies that the radar is measuring correctly, in accordance with the quality infrastructure for which SWEDAC is the central authority.
2. Moving fast* the Swedish Police this week announced that the first Police vehicles using our type approved radar are out on the roads doing Speed enforcement.
Now Palmenco are working hard getting all the >2000 delivered and installed Moving radar systems up and running to lower the average speed and thereby saving lives!
